This expedition offers you the most in-depth exploration of the Antarctic Peninsula. Extended time in the region allows you to go beyond the Antarctic Peninsula and venture south of the Antarctic Circle, home to fantastic ice formations and wildlife including the Weddell seal. You'll enjoy more time for communing with penguins and visits to less-frequented landing sites.
As we approach the Antarctic Circle temperatures drop and it feels as if you are visiting in the early season, when the Peninsula is at its most pristine.
Our aim: Cross the Circle before the ice stops us, reaching latitude 66°33’S.
Since the trip is a few days longer, there are more wildlife viewing opportunities, and perhaps a chance to see some species you wouldn’t see on a normal Peninsula voyage.
Lastly, crossing the Antarctic Circle makes you a member of a very exclusive club. Not many humans reach this far south!
