Born and raised in Mar del Plata, one of the most popular sea side cities of Argentina, Gonzalo grew up loving the beach and the ocean. At the age of 7 he travel to Patagonia for a ski trip, and then and there he was immediately hooked to the mountain spirit. Those trips repeatedly took place as Gonzalo passion for skiing became increasingly stronger.

He moved to Buenos Aires to study Political Science, yet skiing had already taken over his soul, thus Aspen in the USA became his second home at the end of every college year. He worked as a restaurant manager for a while until he finally got his Ski Instructor Certificate. And what started more as a hobby ended up being his biggest passion in life. After graduating, Gonzalo moved to where it all started, Patagonia! His career as full-time skiing instructor kicked off spending back-to-back winters between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres for 7 years.

Spending so much time in the mountains, chasing cold weather and snow definitely shaped a permanent and strong bond with nature and tourism. Gonzalo brings his all-round experience in the travel industry, as well as a combined love for the oceans, the mountains and the natural world to Antarctica Travels as part of our High Season sales team.
