    Map/Itinerary

Please note: This itinerary is meant to serve as a general guide. Plans may change along the way, depending on weather, sea conditions, or choices made by the expedition leader and team to give you the safest and most rewarding experience.

Day 1Arrive & Welcome: Reykjavik, Iceland

Welcome to Reykjavik. You will be greeted by staff when you walk out the Arrival Hall at Keflavik Airport. A group transfer will take you to the hotel in your pre-cruise package for rest.

A complimentary Air2Sea transfer will be available from Keflavik Airport (REK) from 12pm to 6pm on a 2-hour frequency (12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm). Pre-reserved is required. Please leave some time between flight arrival and shuttle bus departure.

If you will travel from other places or arrive earlier, your hotel room will be available for check-in starting from 3pm.

    Day 2Embark: Reykjavik, Iceland

Reykjavík, one of the happiest cities in the world, is full of charm. Colorful houses line the streets, the sea glimmers at the edge of town, and snowy mountains rise in the distance. A rainbow-painted street leads to the landmark Hallgrímskirkja church. Spend the day exploring before transferring to the pier in the afternoon to board the ship.

You will be welcomed by the Expedition Team and crew when you step aboard. Settle into your cabin, and feel the anticipation before setting sail. Your extraordinary voyage to the western Greenland, the home of icebergs, will start.

    Day 3Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland

Explore the Vestmannaeyjar, famous for volcanic landscapes, puffin colonies, and Viking heritage. Hike up Eldfell Volcano, visit the Eldheimar Museum to learn about the dramatic 1973 eruption, and walk through preserved neighborhoods once buried by lava. In summer, wild lupines bloom across the island, creating a paradise for birdwatchers.

Day 4Day at Sea, Denmark Strait

We will spend a full day at sea as the ship cross the Denmark Strait. Under the glow of the midnight sun, the horizon never darkens. Expert lectures and presentations by the expedition team will prepare you for the wonders of Greenland’s geography, wildlife, and culture.

    Day 5-6Prince Christian Sound

Marvel at colossal icebergs drifting from Greenland’s vast ice sheet into the crystalline waters of Prince Christian Sound. Sheer cliffs and glaciers create a dramatic natural corridor of stone and ice. If weather permits, the voyage will continue into Tasermiut Fjord, known as the “Patagonia of the Arctic,” where the first Greenland landing may take place.

    Day 7Hvalsey & Qaqortoq

Today we will visit Hvalsey in the morning. Hvalsey is home to the best-preserved Norse ruins in Greenland. The 14th-century Hvalsey Church remains an important symbol of Viking presence in the Americas, also famous as a UNESCO site. Surrounding fjords and meadows create a striking contrast against the Arctic seascape.

Afternoon we will arrive at Qaqortoq, the largest town in South Greenland and one of the most picturesque in the Arctic. Colorful, cultured, and full of Arctic charm, Qaqortoq is nestled among rolling hills and overlooking a sheltered bay, the town is adorned with vividly painted houses and outdoor stone sculptures created by local artists.

    Day 8Paamiut, Greenland

Paamiut is a picturesque town on Greenland’s southwest coast, known for its abundant wildlife and cultural history. It is the best place in Greenland to see white-tailed eagles. Colorful houses tell stories of whaling and the fur trade, while scenic trails lead to remote and untouched landscapes.

    Day 9Sisimiut, Greenland

Wake up inside the Arctic Circle. Sisimiut, the second-largest town in Greenland, is renowned for its blue church with a whale-bone doorway. A nearby museum showcases Inuit turf houses and artifacts from early life in Greenland. The town is surrounded by rugged mountains, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and panoramic views.

    Day 10Ilulissat, Greenland

Ilulissat, the legendary “Birthplace of Icebergs,” is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Ilulissat Icefjord releases towering icebergs into Disko Bay year-round. Walk along wooden boardwalks to panoramic viewpoints and admire a vast, frozen sea of icebergs stretching to the horizon.

    Day 11Disko Island, Greenland

Cruise by Zodiac among icebergs sculpted by the Ilulissat Icefjord and search for migrating whales that frequent these waters in summer. Hike through basalt mountains, take in the dramatic plateaus and fjords, and discover the living traditions of Inuit culture.

    Day 12Eternity Fjord, Greenland

Eternity Fjord is often described as one of Greenland’s most beautiful fjords. Towering granite peaks rise above icy waters where calving glaciers release floating ice sculptures. The deep silence of the fjord is occasionally broken by the thunderous crack of ice, echoing across the valleys. This unforgettable setting is ideal for birdwatching, exploring, and appreciating the majesty of nature.

Day 13Nuuk, Greenland & Return to Reykjavík, Iceland

This morning, the ship arrives in Nuuk, the vibrant and colorful capital of Greenland, nestled between rugged mountains and the sparkling waters of its sheltered harbor. After enjoying a final breakfast on board, take a moment to say farewell to your expedition team, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences and breathtaking landscapes you have encountered over the past days. Following this, you will be transferred to the airport for your charter flight, which will carry you back across the North Atlantic to Reykjavík, Iceland, concluding your extraordinary Arctic adventure.

The information of charter flight will be available in March 2026. We highly recommend staying an extra night in Reykjavik after the charter flight arrives.
